Our Services
Our surgery center offers a variety of outpatient procedures, meaning our patients go home the same day as their surgery. Below are the types of procedures performed at SCSC.
General Surgery
Covers a broad range of operations, including biopsies, small mass removals, and surgical repair of soft tissues. These are often routine and minimally invasive.
Screening Colonoscopies
A camera is inserted through the rectum to look inside your colon, typically to screen for cancer or remove polyps. You'll be sedated and won't feel or remember the procedure.
Upper Endoscopies
A flexible tube with a camera is used to view the upper digestive system (esophagus, stomach, and first part of the small intestine). Helps diagnose heartburn, ulcers, and swallowing issues.
Hernia Repairs
Fixes a bulge in the muscle or tissue, commonly in the belly or groin. It's a quick, effective surgery to prevent pain and complications.
Arthroscopies
Minimally invasive joint surgery, typically for knees or shoulders. A small camera helps the surgeon fix torn cartilage, ligaments, or inflammation without a large incision.
Lumpectomies
Removes a lump or abnormal tissue from the breast, often used in early-stage breast cancer treatment. Preserves most of the breast tissue.
Laparoscopic Surgeries
Small incisions and a camera are used to operate inside the body, common for gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and some gynecologic procedures. Recovery is faster than open surgery.
Gynecologic Procedures
Includes surgeries related to the female reproductive system, such as ovarian cyst removal, endometrial ablation, or minor uterine procedures.
Cholecystectomies
Surgical removal of the gallbladder, often due to gallstones or pain after eating. Usually done laparoscopically with a short recovery time.
Orthopedics
Surgeries for bones, joints, and muscles including carpal tunnel release, tendon repairs, and small fracture fixations. Designed to restore mobility and reduce pain.
Plastic Surgery
Cosmetic or reconstructive procedures like mole removal, scar revision, or minor facial surgery. Focuses on both function and appearance.
Urology
Focuses on urinary and male reproductive organs. Includes procedures like bladder scope exams (cystoscopy), prostate biopsies, or treatment for kidney stones.
Otolaryngology (ENT)
Ear, Nose, and Throat procedures such as sinus surgery, tonsil removal, ear tube placement, and swimmer's or surfer's ear. Helps treat chronic infections or breathing and/or hearing issues.
